Code of conduct
Welcome to The Dice Guild’s Code of Conduct, where safety, respect, and inclusion are at the heart of our role-playing community. Please familiarize yourself with and follow these guidelines to ensure a positive and enriching experience for everyone.
1. Be careful with the personal information you share
Exercise caution when sharing personal information (postal address, email, phone number, social media). Share only with those you know and avoid public disclosure. Opt for a profile picture that isn’t a personal image, like an avatar or icon. Refrain from including identifiable information in your description.
2. Meet in person in a neutral location
You never know who’s behind an online username. So, if you’re organizing or joining an in-person game session, opt for a neutral location like a café or game bar. If you do go to someone’s place, make sure to inform a trusted friend or family member of the location and time for your safety.
3. Respect your boundaries
If you’re uncomfortable with certain events or topics, inform your GM and fellow players. You can use emotional safety tools (X-cards, etc.) so everyone can enjoy the game!
4. Communicate with kindness
Be kind and courteous to fellow members! Avoid using offensive, aggressive, or disrespectful language.
5. The Dice Guild promotes tolerance and respect
We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, rejecting all forms of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, gender identity, age, nationality, sexual orientation, and more.
6. Reporting inappropriate Behavior
If you witness inappropriate behavior or a violation of the guidelines, please report it immediately to the site administrators. Together, we ensure a safe and respectful environment for all users.
By joining our community, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
As members of The Dice Guild, we believe that role-playing games are more than just entertainment; they are opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and broaden our horizons.
