Your calendar is the central tool of The Dice Guild. It allows you to input your availability so your GM is informed or to organize a game. Many features are there to simplify or refine this process. Feel free to explore the different tutorials to learn more.
In this video, we'll see how to use your calendar in The Dice Guild to plan your games in the best way.
Calendar preferences allow you to set up an automatic pre-fill for your calendar and define the hours for your days and half-days. It’s important to carefully think about your preferences before filling in your calendar.
Weekly Planning
You can define a typical week by setting your usual availabilities for each day. For example, you can be available online on weekday evenings, in person on Wednesday afternoons, and have flexible availabilities on weekends.
Go to the Preferences tab next to the Availability tab to access these settings.
Once your typical week is configured, click on the Save button.
Impact on Your Calendar
Returning to your calendar, you’ll notice it has been pre-filled with your typical week. You just need to click on Save to save your calendar. You can still manually edit specific dates that differ from your usual schedule.
Time Customization
In the Preferences tab, you can define your start and end times for full and half-days. For example, you can set your day from 10 am to 10 pm. The hours can extend to the next day, which is useful for late-night sessions.
Half-Day Settings
You can define overlapping time slots. For example: for half-days, Daytime from 10 am to 7 pm, and Evening from 6 pm to 2 am. This allows for flexible planning during transition periods.
Warning: Don’t forget to save your preferences!
Important: Set your time preferences before saving your calendar. Changing preferences afterward will convert all previous availabilities to an hour-by-hour view, making it less intuitive to read.
Tip: You can reset your availability for the current and future months by clicking the dedicated button in the Availability tab of the calendar if you want to start fresh after changing preferences.
