Games
The games are the heart of The Dice Guild. They let you plan your game sessions, check your players' availability, and manage the details of your meetings. You can create one-shots, campaigns, or sessions linked to a campaign. You can also use the Guest feature to invite players who don't have an account on The Dice Guild.
In games created within your communities among friends, there may be times when a player does not yet have an account on The Dice Guild or is an occasional participant for whom you don't want to require account creation. To meet this need, the Guest feature is here to make your life easier!
With this option, you can generate a shareable link that your player can use to access a calendar. They can indicate their availability and configure their preferences. This link is reusable, allowing you to check their updates and continue organizing your games as long as the link hasn't been deleted. A simple and practical solution for planning your sessions with maximum flexibility!
Add a Guest
Each click generates a new guest link, automatically numbered (Guest #1, Guest #2, etc.). These links are shared across all your games. This means that if you use Guest #1 in one game, this same link will also be Guest #1 for all other games.

Once a guest is added, they are automatically selected as a player in the game. This means that scheduling the game will depend on their availability : you will need to wait for them to fill in their calendar before finalizing the date.
You can have up to 6 guest links on your account, regardless of the number of games.
Guest Options
By clicking the three dots next to a guest, several options are displayed

Campaign
You can add your guests directly to a campaign. This way, you won’t have to add them to each session, and the player can fill in their calendar using the same link every time. Don’t forget to rename them for easier identification!
The Dice Guild offers the possibility for game masters to create games open to sign-ups and for players to join them. Here's how it works.
Sign Up for a Game
You can view games based on their visibility: games published in a community you are part of, games with a guild visibility when the game master is part of your guild, public games, and private games where you are one of the players.
Open games are those where players can sign up. The game master will then accept or reject participation requests. These games have a Join button that allows you to sign up.

To join a game, simply click on the Join button.
Once the request is sent, the game master can either accept or reject it. If accepted, they will have access to your calendar until the game ends. If the game does not have a set date, this access will remain active until a date is defined. For a campaign, access will persist as long as your request is active.
Remove a Request
If you are no longer interested in a game or wish to revoke access to your calendar, you have the option to remove your request.
Select the option Remove Request.

The game master will no longer have access to your calendar. If you were part of the game members, you will be removed from the game. Be sure to communicate clearly with the game master, as leaving a game can impact its progress. Show respect and try to give advance notice if possible.
As a game master, you can open a game for sign-ups. This allows players to sign up for the game, and you can then accept or reject their requests. Accepted requests give you access to the players' calendar.
Open the Game for Sign-Ups
When creating or editing the game, you must enable the open to sign-ups option. This is done in the game's Requests section.

The game will be open for sign-ups based on its visibility. To change this, go to the General Information section.

Accept a Request
Once your game is open for sign-ups, players can send you participation requests. Go to the game's edit section to review these requests.

Requests appear as cards with two options: accept or reject. If you accept a request, you will have access to the player's calendar until the game ends. If the game does not yet have a set date, this access will remain active until a date is defined. For a campaign, this access will persist as long as the request is active.
Even after accepting a request, you can decline it at any time.
It’s possible to create a game even if not all players are available. This can be useful if not everyone is free, but you still want to organize a game.
Go to the game creation page.
Select the players you want to add to your game.
You’ll see all the dates marked in red because one of your players is never available.

Confirmation
When creating the game, a message will ask for your confirmation and remind you of the players who are absent. They will be removed from the game.

Tip: If you create a game within a campaign and define a minimum number of players, the display will default to considering the minimum number of players.
